Food Inc..

The movie of food Inc show many things that made me think what i have been eating. Also how it is getting all over are body. Also the movie made me think about the workers. How some factories get the illigais Immigrants to work for them. However, when compaines/ factories start earning a lot of money they have to get rid of 50%of people by reporting them to immigration these workers have been working for fifteen years. Factories/ Companies do not care about their workers they are more concern to make money. It surprised me that farmers are controlled by companies / factories on howthey raise their animals instruction / contract that has been reached. For most contracts farmers are expected from companies to make their aminals fat in small number of days and sell them to them less than a month. It's crazy that farmers are in pressure or else they are going to loose bussiness with companies/ factories. Also how the family that did not eat healthy they eat fast food and did not get vegestables and make a better choice.

  1. This movie makes us reflect on taking immediate action by caring about our health. We need to educate and inform our family and friends in the importance of eating healthy. I also felt terrible thinking in these poor immigrants what they have to go through for them to earn some money to support their families. Because they don’t have other opportunities of living, this corporations used them for some period of time, then reported them to immigration. These workers should be protected by law.

  2. Yes I know what you mean Tania. I had to look at my eating habits as and see where I can make some changes to my diet and excercise routine. This is hard for me the working out part because getting motivated to do a workout is tough for me, but once I get going I am alright. I think the treatment of immigrant and migrant workers in this country is unfair. The US hire them to come to this country to work in jobs which most us citizens will not take so to the low wages and lack of benifits and that is where the loop hole is for the US, and how CONVEINENT is that for the US I mean.

  3. yes, food is getting unhealthier, but i think people are also getting lazier. People need to set the exercise bar higher. Everything should be in moderation. Although the way they treated the animals was a bit disturbing. It is a little crazy how the farmers are becoming more like slaves to the corporations...

  4. Tania there is a lot of craziness going on with our food and how it is made. I do believe most of need to look at what we eat and put into our bodies, myself included. I hope most of us can learn somehting from this class and carry it through out life for a better life style. It would be nice to see a better life stlye for the animals and not to "force" chickens to grow at a rapid pace.
